Q&A FAQ

Part 17: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=809421

*Guys now we have a dedicated forum. Lets keep these threads to just Q&A.

Also....

Ross has said he reads every post. Therefore, there is no need for large fonts, colours or Capitals. If you don't get an answer please don't repeat your question over and over.

A. That is just spam and you may get infracted for it.
B. There are things Ross can't answer or are being held back for the release.
C. Ross has a business to run and family too, there are worthy questions that he may not get too because of time and detail required.

He can answer questions in a very opportunistic manner and does also know that some will be answered by others and leave it to them (very thankful to the BF guys who came in for sharing the load!).

Hey Ross how many minutes are shown in the quarter in the game. Does it count down from 20 or go up from zero to about 33.

They count down from 20, speed varies depending on how long you set quarters for real time.

Resubbing.

Pre-ordered today and just am feeling the buzz so much now. This is bigger than when GTA IV was released on PC and I waited forever it seemed!

Thank god I have the Thursday off and then a weeks break :D

trying to find a mix of good players, rookies and midrangers in order to fit under the salary cap of AFL Live. Dont know how close I'll get.

Ross - my team any chance of fitting under the cap?

How effective is the injury setting? Is it noticeable? Has anyone experienced an injury yet and if so what was it?
Can you have season ending injuries?

CensusSainter, HBK and Ross I am coming for you 3 online on PSN as of next Thursday!! I have teamed with HBK and hes definitely good at this game, but lets see how he goes when its Richmond v Collingwood and as for Census, mate as much as I enjoyed your win over your mate, I'm gettin Harry O to shut down the tiprat! It is ON!! haha cant wait!

When creating teams is the salary cap high enough to make a team that is some what decent compared to other teams?

When injuries are turned on they can definitely have an effect on the match (they haven't been turned on the last 2 playtests though).

If you get a serious enough injury, it'll show the player limping around and favouring whatever injury they've done. At the Swanston St. playtest Francis, one of the devs from BigAnt wanted to take a pic on his phone for one of the injuries to Jobe Watson as it was 'the worst he's seen outside of their studios'.

You have $7 million to work with. From what I've seen of the player ratings via dollar amount it works similar to DreamTeam prices (Judd and Ablett were about 400k).
HBK please tell me you have a 360 too? :p - As per our youtube chat.
Oh shit, no, I only have PS3.:( Buy a PS3.:) Alternatively trade 360 for PS3.:)

Harry O' Stepladder, look forward to taking a screamer or two on him online :)

To answer some questions from thread 17 -

1. There are behind the player views however I find them near unplayable as you can't see the tackle coming from behind and the camera swings around a lot when posession changes.

2. You can view any players' or teams' stats during a season.

Cheers mate. Will definitely have injuries on extreme.

It's a long story.... the short version is that originally I named the company Bullant Studios, people overseas didn't know what a bullant was and referred to us as "bull-ent" or "Bullit" studios. Further, a company in Sydney had a trademark for Bullant Wireless and as the games systems started having wireless controllers and internet I didn't want to be in breach so I decided to proactively change the name to something no-one could spell or pronounce incorrectly but was still with the "Ant" theme and starting with an "A" or "B" so we were alphabetically at the top of lists.... so Big Ant it was - there is a little more to it than that but those are the main points.

Shouldve gone for Bullitt Studios, wouldve been cool to have a Highland Green 'Stang as the logo...

just got back from 10 days in Bali and its like Ive fast forwarded through time, was almost a month to go until release now just over a week, awesome. Also sat next to a dude the other night in a pub watching the Eagles throw the game away and he asked me if Id heard about the new AFL game coming out, there you go Ross the title has gone international!

Off Topic: Kicking truly and putting St Kilda in front?

Lmao, I could have sworn he missed it lol. I was plastered though so forgive ;P

I don't think I could ever forget that mark. Snuck into the ground VIA a couple mates and was jammed in the smallest of air pockets in the standing area. I could see only less than half the ground, but I saw that.

I think the more amazing thing I saw was, after the game, three empty kegs where a group of Collingwood supporters were on one of the raised tiers in the standing area. How they got them there I will never know.
