I swear i just played a game where the other player was using some sort of cheat.
It seemed like it was just laggy at first, weird stuff was happening. But as i kept playing i realised it was just him getting it.
Seemed like his players were ultra fast, and the ball would suddenly go missing then end up in his hands and he would run into an open goal. Or id be chasing him full pelt and he would run away from me like i wasnt there.
Also, in the ruck, we would both go up for the tap, and no one would get it, then suddenly bam hes running inside 50.
Despite this i only lost by 10 pts in the end.
Anyone come up against something similar? I got the players ID so im thinking of reporting the bastard.

Nah its not. It never happened for me, thats why im suspicious.

Even at one stage, i lined up for set shot goal, and he somehow touched it off the boot, that never happens!!
Yeah it is.
^This.

I've had horrendous lag before that seems like something suss is going on, but it's definitely lag.

the assholes who play 2 player and then all run over the mark piss me off, it's bad enough with 1 pl let alone when you outnumber me

also the idiots who bump all the time instead of tackling. not a cheat but it's annoying

I think bumping correctly can work well, and I encourage it. Sometimes I'll have two guys to one running at the ball. I'll get one guy to lay a bump (pretty much a shepherd) so my other guy can get there first.
I believe that's part of the skill that some players haven't used yet.

Agree.

As for bumping a player with the ball instead of tackling him, I must admit I was starting to feel a little guilty doing this as it's been fairly effective for me, but after finally playing a few players who did the same to me, I realised it's quite easy to get around and it doesn't bother me now, so my guilt has been eased.

Would love the bump to be downgraded a little bit in the next game though, just so it's more fluent and both players can continue to run while bumping, instead of stopping for a second or two like it does now.

The bump is massively imbalanced if you can do it to them after they've taken a mark :p

Ill stand by my belief that it was dodgy.
Theres no way it could all go his way and never for me

yeh i have gotten something similar i think, like
it would go into his forward 50 and it was going to drop to someones feet and the it would liek bounce mid air and go to his player and he would mark it.
also i would be a bit in front and go to pick it up, my player hardly bends down and his gets a boost, now i think that one is definately lag but the first one i was a bit suspicious.
ended up getting a couple of good plays and managed to get it to reiwolt or goddard around 60 out and slot a few, lost by about 40

OH definitely..

I just don't like the people who bump instead of tackling because it's overpowered in comparison to tackles (due to the fact a bump doesn't miss and can't be shrugged)

Just had a game where a guy constantly did this; I'd take a mark, he'd bump my player, the ball would spill free and play on would be called. It's essentially a far more powerful version of the tackle after a mark exploit, as a 50 metre penalty was never given.

I hadn't seen this exploit until tonight, nor seen it written about in the bug thread. I'm wondering if this is a known issue, and if it will be fixed as part of the mark/tackle exploit fix in the patch.

Incidentally, between this exploit and blocking on the mark all game, the guy managed to grab a win over me. 'RAT IN THE SNAKE' was his name, and I notice he's been named in the quitters thread too. Definite class act.

I found out about it when i turned the protection of the mark option off.

I was able to walk over the mark and bump my brother with him dropping the ball and play on being called.

Ah, that would make sense. Sounds like a seperate bug to the tackle over the mark one in that case. I think I'll go ahead and pay a visit to the bug reporting thread.
