gday guys, im absolutely loving this game. i know theres a few things that need to be smoothed over but all in all its a pretty good base to start off with.

anyways, im just having a bit of trouble marking. if i kick to a contest, is there any way i can jostle my opponent out to take the mark? because ive found that unless i kick to a guy on the lead or unless i spoil from behind, i find it really difficult to win a genuine marking contest. any help would be appreciated. cheers

Pretty much, you need to get the front position. If you're not in front, go the spoil.

You cannot jostle an opponent out of the way in a marking contest until the patch comes out.

This is because at the moment, in a marking contest, the right stick spoils instead of bumping your opponent like it should. It should be;

L2/LT + Right Stick = Spoil

and

Right Stick = Bump

...but currently the right stick spoils without having to hold down L2/LT. This will be fixed with the upcoming patch.
