I'm thinking that the AFL desperately need a resurgent Richmond in Team success and gate/fan numbers...
With the drug cheats in a death spin spiral....
And with the Pies led by Eddie acting as petulant spoilt kids (the bully in the kiddies sand-pit) and demanding Friday night TV...no interstate travel...games at the G because we are sooooo big...Anzac day game and subtle pressure on the Umpires with media comments..
That way with a resurgent bigger Richmond the AFL can stick it up Eddie's toothless pack and BUMbers whatever it takes drug cheats...
The AFL want us big...massive...huge...we as a club just have to man up...
Just an AFL subtle reminder to Eddie whose boss...the Umpire free kick count from Sundays game...

The afl need us exactly were we are.

They need us to make up the numbers to subsidize their franchises

It used to be Sydney freo west coast now it's brissbane gc and gws.

They know that our fans are passionate so no matter what happens we will continue giving them our hard earned $ effectively subsidizing the markets they are developing.

So even if they screw up 5 drafts in the row and give all the best kids to these clubs on a platter we will still turn up and effectively bank roll them

Even if they get to lay there players and extra $2 million on their salary cap compared to their clubs we will still turn up.

The afl is a managed monopoly and we are the suckers paying to see our club maybe make finals once every thirty years

Clubs in the heartland of Melbourne with passionate supporter bases like Richmond are just here to make up the numbers. It's a joke.

The first 4 weeks looked easy, then as things got going, weeks 5, 6 and 7 were also not too difficult. Even this week isn't as daunting as it once looked.
Nobody to blame but our gameplan though.
