Wouldn't mind seeing Mooney for one more game at least. Didn't get much game time, but laid a couple of good tackles, and seemed to get around it a couple of times. Geez, I hate the sub-rule.

Williams has done very little wrong, but I think he would make way. He doesn't really have more to prove - has been impressive to a degree so far. Tossed up between Dawes and Paine, but I think Dawes gets one more week to see if his three cheap goals can spark some real ones next week. If he doesn't take any I50 marks next week, he needs to go.

Will wait to after the VFL Game.

I think Paine would be Stiff to be Dropped but would be dropped because of Team Structure

Which player do you think would be a chance if they got best on ground Dave? I wouldn't have thought there were many knocking on the door especially if we get back a couple (like Pendles).

As much as I hate to say it, I can't see Buckley getting dropped until Marty Clarke finds some form or Ben Johnson returns, the only other possible replacement is Seedsman and he hasn't set he world on fire recently in the VFL.

Like Dave, I'll wait till the VFL game tomorrow before deciding on my in and out preferences.

TBH we could probably rest the entire list and play the cheer squad next week against the scum and still win by 10 goals :)

Disagree. I reckon next week would be a little danger game. We have won 10 straight and may be a little focussed on the couple of weeks after the Blues game, and they really need a win to stay alive and would really really love to beat Collingwood...

I am sure we will win, but really hope that our guys bring the required intensity to the game to make sure of it.

Nathan Brown had a terrible game today, his season hasnt been great. Buckleys been better than brown this season yet he cops 50 thousand times more shit.

Tarrent in for brown, like for like and doesnt make us too top heavy against a speedy carlton forward line.

Sinclair / Didak (pending fitness) in for mooney. Would love to see him play again, but its more important to get games into sinclair/didak and giving mooney a taste for it then taking it away will make him more hungry and more eager, u dont want to give it all to him on a silver plate he might start taking it for granted.

Pendlebury in for williams. Williams stiff to get dropped, but his disposal has let him down and unfortunatly he gets squeezed out, gonna be a player though.

Paine lucky to keep his spot, deff needs to provide more leads and didnt do much today. hasnt really shown much at AFL level yet but i believe he has a future and its only a matter of time. If he has a bad game next week then his out.

Paines game was brilliant.. Plus it works well for structure.. 3 genuine talls at all times.. Goldsack to rotate through.

In: pendles

Out: Williams

I think a few aren't giving Williams his due for his performance. His role is as a small defender and to that end he did his job successfully. Ballantyne is one of Freos most dangerous players and had little impact on the game courtesy of Williams efforts. Considering Carltons forward structure is built around their smalls I can't see us dropping a small defender who has been performing their role as well as Williams has.

if buckleys comments on BTG are noted, we will be focussed. its rare if ever a coach makes reference AT ALL to any game other than the next, but buckley did make reference to this weeks upcoming carlton game on that show. yes i know he was surrounded by blooz flogs, but it still surprised me.

smack them hard.

You are right.. But our back line right now without Williams will be fine..

Toovey - brown - o'brien
Shaw - Reid - Maxwell

And then it's one of Williams or Buckley..

Pendles is coming in.. Someone has to sit out.. Mooney deserves another chance. Paine also. Elliot has been outstanding. Williams has been great, but IMO he will have to make way.. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

That is unless Buckley makes way of course but he was great yesterday..

I remember that interview. He was sore. Genuinely sore at that loss. When the topic came up the atmosphere change and the look on his face made you think "this shit just got serious".

Buckley has spent more time in the midfield lately.

I don't think it is excessive to have Toovey, Shaw, O'Brien and Williams as small defenders agains a side like the Blues.
