The team is fine.

Buckley will go out for Maxwell when he's ready.

I think Buckley will have the sub, because he's fairly versatile in where he plays. Blair and Johnson have to start - Macaffer shouldn't have it two weeks in a row because his fitness will suffer, unless they want to manage his workload coming off an interrupted pre-season.

What is interesting is Luke Rounds is named as an emergency.

He doesn't seem too far away at all from senior selection.

I guess if we are ever going to give him a chance now is the time.

While I don't see him breaking into our best 22 if we don't play him we will never know. I never thought Toovey would be as good as he is and he has proved me wrong. Whose to say Buckley can't do the same.

Agree with trying him as the sub. Bring him on in the last his long kicking could be a weapon kicking over lines catch out defenders. Once Maxy is back Bucks is gone.

Same thoughts here. I'm sure Mick is giving him a run to see if he can turn his form around, meaning he probably won't start as the sub.

Agree that Buckley will be the sub and that it's good to see Rounds in there as an emergency. Interesting that they've placed him effectively ahead of McCarthy despite his interrupted pre-season. All a bit symbolic though obviously as Leon would obviously be first in should a running-type player be required.

Once Maxwell comes back in, is going to be a very tough 22 to break into, barring injuries of course.

They will name the sub 30 mins before the game. We don't know who yet. It could be Macaffer again.

I hope not. Macaffer is too good a player to be sitting on the bench for 3/4ths of the game.

I doubt Cafe will be the sub again, as they want to keep fitness levels up of all players. It could be Buckley, but maybe someone else.

I think he deserves to be able to try and string 2-3 games together. Has pace and massive boot. Just needs to settle.
