AFL symbol

I've noticed on the Hawks jumper that the AFL symbol is a golden colour where it would normally be red.
Is this because they are last year's premiers?

Ok I found the answer already nevermind, apparently yes it was introduced in 2008 that the reigning premiers would wear a gold logo.
