AFL Tipping Rules - 2007

Hello and welcome to the Big Footy AFL Tipping for 2007.

Hoping to put some integrity back into footy tipping around here

Anyways here are the rules:

*Tips must be submitted by 7pm AEST on a Friday.
If they are submitted late, games that haven't yet started will still be counted, just don't bother to nominate your Friday team as it won't count.

*Exceptions - PLEASE TAKE NOTE !!!!!!
Round 2 - Tips must be submitted before Thursday 5th April , 7pm AEST.
Round 5 - The Ess v Coll game is on Wed, so this tip may be submitted seperately before Wednesday April 25th, 1pm AEST. The remainder of the tips may be submitted as per usual by Friday 7pm AEST.
Round 12 - A split round. Tips may be submitted in 2 parts. Friday 15th June 7pm AEST is the cut off time for the first 5 games and the cut off time for the remaining three games will be Friday 22nd June 7pm AEST.

*No submission of tips = 0 points for the round. No excuses and please no PM's. If you are going away for a substantial period of time, the tipping threads for the entire year is already up. You can tips week in advance if you wish, for that matter the whole season too.

*Anyone wanting to join after Round 1 is more than welcome and will start on "ZERO" points.

*1 point per correct tip
0 points per incorrect tip
1 points per draw (the reason for this is so that anyone who doesn't submit their tips for that round will receive zero).

*Tipping threads for all 22 home and away rounds are already up, for people who want or need to tip in advance.

*Tipping ladder will be posted by Tuesday afternoon at the latest. The tipping ladder may be up on a Wednesday when the round finishes on the Monday though.

*All in all it's pretty straight forward, all you have to do is submit your tips in the relevant thread REGULARLY and ON TIME.

So for example could I enter my tips for Friday's and Saturday's games on the Friday, but then tip Sunday's game on the saturday? Because only squads are named for Sundays games.

ummmm no unfortunately.

you need to pick the whole round (except in the cases of r5 and r12 as stated above). if you miss the cut off time for the first match you are still able to tip in the remainder of the games though.
