Split the diff really as past meeting have a 1-1 and both sides are 1-1, just we got pumped by the Dees and the eagles couldn't match the Dons so they sit 9th and we're 13th. Should be an even enough match in reality.

It's also indigenous round in AFLW, so bring out your Euro-Yroke pride so you can go Waalitj Marawar and butcher the pronunciation of both.

Teams haven't been named yet, might as well get a structure here so that people can follow along, most chat is about the Eagles so once again AFL media to the rescue of saying sweet F all to spruice a match cause why would they when they can just suckle the WA teat for more ca$$h.

As the great Kup once said; lets talk TV.
This gets punted to the secondary instance due to Cats v Swans, so it's only the subs with Foxtel, Kayo and Binge stating at 3pm AEST for their coverage, and no radio listed cause once again, Cats v Swans hog everything.

Unless you're a WA based Saints fan like me...we do thankfully get it on TV and local radio.

Was only going by #VICBIAS and AFL site to say no radio coverage cause the Cats are hogging the airways per usual, shoulda figured the AFL had NFI what was going on with any agreements for coverage.

Bit wasteful so far but can't complain about holding the opposition scoreless in a quarter.

Umps engaging the catch-up mode. Shocking decisions going the Eagles way. Eagles player drops ball in tackle, no free, she then jumps on the ball and tackled again, no free. What are the bloody rules these days??

Lol I feel like our players don't understand the HTB rules? I mean im not 100% I do either, but they have to show intent to get it out which is not happening

I don't understand how that wasn't a ball up. She had no prior and the ball was locked in but the ump just let play go for ages. It was like they wanted to pay the Eagles a HTB but they weren't getting the message.

Fairly certain the HTB interpretation changed for this season for AFLW to open the play up abit, I don't think prior is a thing. Not sure what the incentive is going for the ball.

Swans almost just got burned by it in the last play of the game but Geelong missed the game tying shot at goal.

How on earth does Nick Dal Santo still have this job

I just dont think theres a game plan here that is functional. Far too much defensive mindset in a game that doesnt have the marking or skills to really rely on it and then our ability to move it from the backline is just "kick it to a contest".

Above all.. I just dont think the players look invested.. They look like they're wading in water sometimes when the ball is in dispute.

Got my son to watch with me for the first time. He laughed his way through at the skill level. He couldn’t quite believe it. The fumbling, dropped marks, kicking errors and how slow some of our girls are “the captain” was starc.

The finish was all so predictable. We saw it coming from a mile away. The panic and the capitulation was comical. Thought after round 1 we may have improved, but tbh the women’s games we are involved in are still a really hard watch. Even after 10 years or whatever it is. I can’t comment on other games as I won’t watch them, but I’m not sure where the women’s game is headed. There’s just not enough talent and it doesn’t deserve the coverage it gets for the product it is. Time for some scrutiny.

Long hours; poor pay. I don't know if Dal is FT, but it wasn't a FT position when we hired him. I don't believe we were overwhelmed with candidates for the role either. I'm not sure what we'd be looking at if we sacked him.

There just seems to be a perpetual cycle of disappointment with this team. Great win two weeks ago undone a fortnight later by a soul-crushing collapse. That sort of thing just keeps happening.

Who can blame them with a coach that would have been sacked in the mens two years ago

Is it me but do we look smaller than some of the key players at the Dees and WCE. There was an inevitability they just ran and bustled and over powered by some pretty good bigger skilled players.

We try hard but the key players lack run and a system thst scores. We put two behind the ball to clog the game up and hold on.

Thoroughly disappointing loss. Was busy with kids stuff earlier but tuned in at 3QT and thought we'd be good for the win - apologies if I brought the bad juju with me! Some of that skill on show was hard to watch. Priest yet again disappointing - I'm sure she's been great for the club, but I'm going back to my previous position of the game having passed her by now.

Yes the player quality isn't there as much, but we do have quality players in Wardlaw, Lambert, Smith, GP etc., not up to the level of a Garner or similar sure, but well enough I'd have thought to keep the lead we had.

Hawks next week followed by Essendon all of whom are unbeaten currently. I'm fearful for the score in that North game in the second last round - I was at the Freo game today and watched them without Garner completely demolish Fremantle.

Bit like the mens comp two tier ladder after only 3 weeks. We need two more really top tier players now.
