Apart from foot disposal, speed and confidence, this is another quality that we lack. Man-on-man, attacking football is the way to win games but I thought we were too defensive today. The players were not aggressive enough - this meant the Bulldogs could shrug off our players and run off to space with ease.

The boys need to be angry, just enough to provide a turn-over from the opposition and have them crapping their daks when they see a shadow coming to tackle them ala the Eagles game. More aggression is required, for a more attacking gameplan. Not a half-hearted "tug" on the opposition jumpers but what I mean is a bone-crunching, physical tackles - hard enough and plenty of them to rattle the opposition's psyche.

Third quarters are killing us the year - it's the time where we suddenly drop off our attack on the ball (and intensity of our tackles) until mid-way into the final quartere we suddenly realise "we've gotta step up" - the hardness starts up and we make it tougher for the opposition where we can kick a few ourselves. Too little too late.

We haven't got the skill or the class to match St. Kilda, which leaves aggression as our only hope of keeping up to within 10 goals.

Thoughts?

FOUR QUARTERS OF FOOTBALL PLEASE

Hunger for the footy
Too many clangers

We need to believe we can fly before we actually can. Too annoyed to post anymore :)

I thought you guys were too focused on unsettling us mentally with the continual bumps and niggles and so on, but we got to the ball first.
