Re: Ah F***!

One positive to come out of tonight game is the last three games we have improved by almost 30 against the cats meaning the next time we meet we should have them covered ;)

Re: Ah F***!

*Sigh* I actually wish that we got done by 40pts tonight because it wouldn't hurt as much as this

When you cement you top 4 spot and are getting ready for finals. YOU will know you are a great chance of winning a premiership because of tonight. It hurts now, but as soon as you bounce back next week you will be happy with effort.

Umpires against Geelong are an ISSUE!

Re: Ah F***!

It was reminiscent of an engine spluttering into life in fits and starts over the course of the game. Hopefully we can take that balls-out aproach into future games and stop farting around with the ball like nervous nellies.

We killed geelong in clearances and have beaten teams consistantly at the clearances. We actually have a team that is capable of contesting and winning the ball across the whole ground, and when we give each other half a chance to do that we look great. when we are too scared to take a risk with our disposal is ironicaly when we put extra pressure on ourselves by holding the ball up and limiting our options.

Re: Ah F***!

I missed the game guys very disappointed and un very like me but i was to busy.

Did Johnson kick the ball for goal after the siren and miss ?

If so FFS he has done it now twice and both occasions it has been round 9

Also guys this might sound abit negative but its a good thing I didn't watch tonight because I know I would have hurt somebody if I seen us lose by 2 points live

Re: Ah F***!

No matter how much Akers a lound mouth......geez he can play footy. Best game I've watched in 3 years.......see you in September...again;)

Re: Ah F***!

You boys were absolutely robbed by the umpires tonight, should have won the game, I think if your list stays fit you are a threat.

Re: Ah F***!

Fantastic game tonight by your blokes, really deserved the win!

I am not looking forward to finals if we come up against you blokes again, will defently be a big threat, probably a bigger threat then Hawthorn and the Saints!

Re: Ah F***!

Same old, same old. Still missing set shots (not refering to Johno, although he could have taken more time and made sure), still playing with far too few people in the F50 (and having no one to kick it to), still turning the ball over from poor footskills, still falling asleep for periods, still not sticking tackles.

On the other hand, Aker was great, Johno was back (good work, Rocket), Ward will be a gun, Higgins IS a gun, and the intensity was immeasureably better than what we've shown in the previous few games (maybe all season). Just shows that we may have more upside than any team in the comp, and our best may very well be THE best.

Promising signs, now all we can do is hope that all involved have finally figured out what is required onfield, and bring us more of the same and less of the previous.

Re: Ah F***!

It is dissapointing that the dogs lost tonight, but;

What an effort from the team, they were absolutely fantastic against the best competition avaliable. The game was between two teams playing brilliant footy, one of the best games I've ever seen. We would have beaten every other team in the league tonight, and if we play like that every week, there is no limit to what the team can do. Add Murph and Shaggy back in the team and we are a real chance.
Go Dogs!

Re: Ah F***!

Hey ********, I really want to see the Brad Johnson baggers post some more of their shit now. The guy played his absolute ****ing heart out. Without him we wouldn't have been so close

I wasnt baggin him, merely pointing out the coincidence of round 9. Chill.

Re: Ah F***!

It happens every week, umps hate us !

Aker being held by David Johnson for about 40 seconds off the ball and still no free F**king kick.

works both ways that one, aker kicked a goal after slinging johnson to the ground about 5 mins before that.

other than that, it's bloody hard to get a free playing the cats.

I was ripped at first, but when I thought about it, winning games like this is what the Dogs have largely been about for the last forty years. We celebrate winning home & away games (eg Essendon in 2000), but we have always seemed content to be the occasional giant killer, not a major player.

If the players are gutted, and come out with a bit of attitude for the rest of the season, this loss just might be the thing that takes us further than last year.

Stuff the upset wins during the season, I want them to burn with hunger for every contest from now on - and to look for revenge for this in the finals!

Had we won, we might just have spent the next few days congratulating ourselves (just like in 2000 - remember, we got hammered by Hawthorn the next week). Now we can hurt, and vow to take it out on the rest of the competition.

Go you wild Dogs!!
