Aimster

I have been using Aimster as an alternative to Napster which is RS now. With the latest software upgrades I am inding this to be the great source for downloading MP3 files or those who may have given up hope. www.aimster.com

Is anyone else using Aimster and what are there thoughts/experiences/tips??

yes, i've got aimster, mynapster, imesh, winmx, and bearshare installed...

they all would be good, if i had broadband connection.. however, i dont.. and i'm stuck with 56k dialup...

aimster has a nice interface, but doesnt always have the songs i search for...

in the post-napster era, my choice (my favourite) for downloading mp3's is Audiogalaxy (www.audiogalaxy.com).... found everything i needed.. tis great!

coxon, I hear ya I can't wait until cable or ADSL is affordable to the average joe.

I can get just about everything that I want off Aimster although the Aussie content is a bit light on at the moment. I'm sure that will improve over time though. I have been using it off and on for about 4 months and it has come on leaps and bounds in that time.

I tried bearshare but didn't like it at all. I haven't tried audiogalaxy but will give it a try as well. Cheers
