Oxley and our earliest second rounder would be fair I would have thought. Assuming Oxley wants to go that is. If not then, 2 second rounders.

Yes, I personally think a decent 2nd rounder (early) and Oxley or another 2nd would get it done. Esp as we get Bell, Astbury, Walker and maybe Bastinac in for experience and then add Jansen and academy lads with Schache in. We can actually be a lot further along the development line than many will be aware. Hope the deal is done and quickly!

If Trav wants to be like his ol' man and go chasing the dollar elsewhere, I wouldn't be adverse to him doin' that.

But if the lad wants to be a one club player, and if he starts making the most of his presence in the forward line, and if he doesn't screw us by chargin' overs, then I wouldn't be adverse to him stayin'.

Cloke is a big must! Thinking otherwise, is strategy to the football poorhouse.
A top side needs a monster forward.

That said Cloke will have a monster year if he has support of another fine forward, thats why im so keen on a fit Reid being that support.
Then Moore supports and runs around plus Howe, Elliot maybe the Faz etc
Now that would confuse the best defences.
We need good delivery and mix it up who the target maybe.
Then swan, pendles, varcoe etc can add extra spice.

I do acknowledge Reid is AA CHB material (fully fit) but with Marsh and Brown we have good coverage there.

I am fully sure on his pace but his disposal is generally very good.

Well i think Matthews will come out and say he at least put the issue of 2 yr contracts for 1st round draft picks front and centre.
Also, the landscape has changed for the Lions with the Leunberger compo pick being low as well as the opportunity to pick up players which require picks they dont have.

Obviously they want to get it all done so that they can focus on the other 'gets'. Hopefully ST kilda dont hold things up with their Carlisle debacle.

And what's best in all this is that the dirty cheating Blues will not get anyone decent in the PSD!

I actually don't think Oxley and a second rounder is fair. This favours Brisbane IMO but only as it seems I rate Oxley much higher than many others in here. I'd happily keep Oxley on our list. He was really good this year early when fit and firing and yes he had some moments, but we are talking about a developing player, not an established player.

I understand though that we can't keep everyone. I understand that we need to offer quality to get quality, but I really do worry about losing both Oxley and Seedsman.

It looks like we will pick up some good players this season, but don't underestimate the depth we could lose in Oxley, Seedsman, Kennedy and Freeman.......

Under rated the Ox, problem is we have so much competition off HB, hence Seedman wanting out also.

Reminds me a little of Didak with his low centre of gravity. Good kick and highly skilled, but not fast. We could play him both ends of the ground similar to Sidebottom.
