What are others thoughts?

I think we will get what we hoped for last year out of him!
He wasnt mentioned in our best against north but i thought he was almost BOG. he just looked fast, sharp and seemed to be carrying his head high which he didnt seem to do last year at all.

Really hoping he plays this week, more game time and confidence for the man the better i reckon...........

Aker is simply a freak. Last season he didn't have the pre season he would have liked to.

This season he is 10kg heavier and back to his best playing weight. He is super hungry and has managed to keep a low key this season from the media. That only means one thing from a player of his caliber it means he is hungry to make it up for a down year of 2007.

Eade will be playing him up forward and in the middle somewhere he won a brownlow and played his best football through his lustrous career.

I expect Aker to have a great season he has alot of critics to prove wrong and knowing Aker he lets his playing do his talking most times. :thumbsu:

i'm a big fan of Akka at the dogs. he has the kind of experience that money can't buy.........

If your training to make a subtle hint about Aker chasing the money i think you might be looking for the Nathan Brown board. Aker was kicked out on his arse at Brisbane and is on an acceptable wage at the Bulldogs.

I think you may have missed his point.

Hopefully he can produce some of that awesome form that won him the brownlow in 01

Found plenty of it tonite but also wasted a lot of it.

His legs were good just his execution let him down, but then again so were most of the other bulldogs disposal's also.

don't ya hope the players actually know what it takes to win a flag. i do.

do you sometimes wonder if that even though they think they put in their best effort, they don't realize they actually have more.

they don't realize how hard they need to push themselves to really be competitive with the best, no not competitive, but to be better than the best.

do you believe that achievement is beyond the current list ? well i don't.
i think ourlist has every chance to learn how to be the best, and simply put Akka has been there and done that.

i don't care why he left the lions, i'm happy he is at the dogs. i now hope we can see that there is much to learn.

don't be happy when he finds a way to fit into the bulldog style of play, be happy when the bulldogs learn how to be better than they are now, and they can learn that, every one can be better than they are.

Akka has been at the top as a player, and is now a player for us. let him show the way for improvement, for a better way. the talent pool is great at the doggies, but top line sport is 90% above the shoulders.

maybe Akka's legs are old, his brain, his attitude is not

love Akka at the dogs
go dogs

:thumbsu: :)......love Aker too!

Akers break out season

in the red white & blue:thumbsu:

He is going to have a super year as he has put the kilos back on and looks a lot bigger than last season.

I will be having a small nibble on him at big odds for the brownlow as he is a quality player and quality players don't lose their skill.

Thoughts?
