No. I wanted to smack Aker before that happened. It was just typical Brisbane umpiring and Akermanis has played there enough to realise that it doesn't take much to milk a free kick

After watching the game on Saturday Night, I've come to the conclusion that Akermanis is THE SOFTEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE!
2 50's from softer knocks that you would have at training, and he goes down like he's been shot. The hardest thing he did all night was tackling the cameraman at the end of the game!

Yeah, it was annoying but the lack of discipline in our side on Saturday was terrible.
Note to Mark Johnson: When a teammate has a set shot 35 meters out against Brisbane, at the GABBA, when we are 3-4 goals down, YOU DO NOT GIVE AWAY A FREE KICK!
If there was only one lesson learned in that game it was that we have got to put away this tough guy crap and play accountable footy.

If Essendon had a player in their team that took a dive every time he got looked at, I'd want that bloke to really be shot.
Footy is about taking the bump to get the ball, not sitting out the back of the pack waiting for someone else to feed you the ball.
Players like Hird, Misiti, Johnson (at Essendon), Ratten, Voss, Cousins - they are your quality midfielders who risk their bodies and take the bumps - guys like Akermanis are the comps "soft men". Crawford and Buckley are also prime examples of this.
If W@nkermanis earns one hard ball this season I'll wear a Lions jersey and streak across the Gabba at the next game.

Of course, if you believed some of the parasites who post on this site, they would have you think that Essendon players and supporters were the only people who ever did such things.

I still like Aker. I in fact agree with what Aker said about the umpires. There was one decision that cost the Lions the win against the Kangaroos and the umpire who made the error agrees with me on this one. Kieran Nicholls paid a holding the ball decision which wasn't even holding the ball.
Did you see the match Stealth? Or couldn't you be bothered because of it being a Lions game?
Oh, poor Brisbane. They all cry foul if the umpires don;t give em the world. Amazing what happens when the umpiring doesn;t go your way 100% of the time. Deal with it.

Watched the entire match Suzi. Thought umpiring was pretty shocking both ways.
I find it interesting that you agree, since most of the time you tend to insist that umpires don't make mistakes and always act correctly.
