Sure to be rife amongst Essendon fans this Saturday night . . .

Hopefully he kicks a bag. ;)

We actually have a lot more respect for him, than you probably think. He is a brilliant footballer.

Another pathetic example of essendonphobia.
I'm sure most supporters worry about what Acnemanis might do to thire side.

Gotta love trolls

Agree with Robbie. Really good footballer, great personality. Congrats on the 200 games.

Just hope we still get over the line. ;)

Yeah - wish we had him at Bomberland, though im not sure his wit would go to well with Sheedy's... They would be fighting for the camera!
Not enough footballers speak their minds in football. We've seen recently Reiwoldt shot down for speaking his mind, likewise with Hird (though his was more serious). Whether you agree with what they have said or not, you have to give them credit for speaking up in such a 'hush hush' world.
Keep it up Aka!

Hahahah, talk about "Serious Simon"! Cheer up! If it was such a pathetic troll, it doesn't say much for yourself in getting jagged in by it through your shirty response.

Above all, I don't mind Essendon at all mate, and I certainly don't spend my time at games booing the players, unlike those who boo Akermanis everytime he goes near it.

:D

Yeah but a lot of you Brisbane people boo players like Hird. It just gets drowned out by the ones that are cheering the goal umpires, the runners...well you know what i mean. ;)

Yes, and along with the "obligatory" booing of Buckley (or any other player for that matter), it is a ridiculous exercise. Even if a player has done something untoward during the game, I reckon it's pretty tedious to hear constant boos follow that player around for the entirity of the game (and even more ridiculous when a player is booed simply for being a good footballer).

Akermanis seems to have become the most booed player in the league, over the last few years.

Agree, would rather have a few and a bit of a sing any day.

You call me Serious Simon ?
You're complaining about something that has been happening in football for decades.

Its only a game, enjoy it !:)

Went to the Brisbane v Fremantle game a couple of weeks ago Everytime Acker went near the ball loud boos from the crowd,so I asked what did Acker do to Freo.
I was told to shut up oR pi$$ off back to Qld,funny I was born in WA.

Although i think he's a great player i just don't agree with what he says most of the time i mean the guy has no respect for carey at all and is always saying he's nothing but trouble!

I hope bombers smash lions so i can see the look on akers face after.

Uh oh...it's not is it? :(

Gees, the AFL rigged that nicely, didn't they?

;)

Not a big fan of his. This will be the first game I've seen Brisbane play in the flesh, so I may get a bit fired up, particularly if Aker gives me the ****s. Or if we win. :o :D

I hope Aker kicks a bag. A great player with a great personality that many can't seem to handle.

Be careful, though, Lions. If you touch them they'll go down - remeber, they're always innocent!

Smash the filth like in 2001, Brisbane.

This may just be the difference in supporting a big club (ie. Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon), but how on earth can you actually barrack for another side?

Either way the Essendon fans will be booing the umpire if they're not booing acker! It's always the way, even when they're starting the biff!

I suffer from acute Akerphobia.

Got a lot of respect for the guy as both a player and for speaking out the way he does, but **** he irritates me with his showboating - although usually it's because he's just put through another goal, so that might be the irritant.

Like any other opp player e.g. "I hate Buckley 'cause he gets the ball too much!" "I hate Plugger 'cause he always kicks a bag against us!" etc...

I hate Essendon more than anything (this was before Saturday, by the way) and I don't mind Brisbane. It must be the old Fitzroy connection, as well as Lethal at the helm.
