I was reading the article in the, Australia i think, and i was taken back by the kids story, he shows really good grunt and a bit of mongrel. I would love to have him on the team to harden up the mid. Is there any chance of maybe taken him with one of our seconf rouynd picks?

The herald sun seems to think he won't go first round so he might be a chance. Honestly if he's available and we don't pick him up I'll be stalking the Carlton recruitment department this time next week demanding answers

Would absolutley castrate both Wayne & Dennis if we overlooked this kid at #17.

Big call there OZ, especially with Selwood up there, as well as Boak. As I have seen saying for a while now, it only needs one or two clubs to take a "smokie" in the first round, and someone like a Proud could very well slip to us in the second round.

The reason I rate Proud ahead of Selwood is because I think Proud has progressed this year, despite having some horrific injuries, whilst Selwood played very few games. Selwood, to me, is an inside ballwinner who isn't as quick or tough as a Proud nor has the ability to 'break the lines (football cliche 127)' like Proud does. Selwood is still a very good player, but I think we're giving him a bit of credit becuase he's essentially missed a year of footy and development at a crucial stage and assuming he will progress naturally next year... he probably will, but he might not as well.

Yeah, you would assume that will end up happening. Even if no-one slips you should still have the like of Djerrkura there. I suppose it then comes down to whether you rate the mids left above those 'upside' talls left. For Carlton I'd take Djerrkura ahead of a Jarryd Allen (and I'm a big wrap for both.)
