I am acquainted with his brother Stewart.

Back in the early 90s, there were a group of regular track watchers who attended the regular Wednesday and Friday afternoon training sessions at Kardina Park. A group of 4 to 7 regular track watchers would sit in the Brownlow Stand on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon as Malcolm Blight put the Geelong players through circle work. That is right!!

We knew the line up of the side on a Friday night. Blighty lined up the side's structure on the ground. He asked them to do some circle work and the players lined up in their set positions.

Alistair's brother Stewart was a director of the Geelong Football Club at the time. He would come up on a Friday night after 5pm or a Wednesday afternoon around 5pm to talk footy to the members of the JURY. He would stir up Bucket and he asked us about our opinions on the game.

And, he could not stop talking about Bruce Lindner. Stewie Lord and Billy Goggin recruited Bruce Lindner to Geelong back in 1985. Stewie kept on telling me that if he did not break his leg or ankle back in 1984, he would have been a champion!!

And, Stewie always told us that we needed a true blooded rover. We have one now: Gary ABlett Junior.

We also met the minder of Gary Ablett and John Barnes. This individual is best mates with Joe Montana.
