Honestly, none of those guys will make All-Australian.

Jed Adcock and Tarkyn Lockyer are both reasonable chances, and there's always left over midfielders that get the spot on a wing.

Eh, I don't know - When you look at it from the point of view that the two wings, centre, ruck rover and rover are essentially all just seen as the "midfield" spots, it's hard to see him cracking the Top 6/7 he'd need to be in to make it this year.

Gary Ablett Jr, Jimmy Bartel, Joel Corey, Brent Harvey, Chad Cornes, Simon Black, Tarkyn Lockyer and Sam Mitchell would all have the inside track on Kane Cornes, or should, at least.

I see where your coming from, but until last week, Kane was number 1 for possesions, and has taken some massive scalps this year. A massively underated player, possibly due to him being in the shaddow of Kane.

Regardless, he has had a great season, and should'nt be far off a spot.
 
Jordan Lewis is very underrated, so I'm pleased you have him in your list. That said, he doesn't get enough attention from the media so won't make it.
 
If Lockyer gets an AA guernsey it loses or credibility it would be almost as bad as when Mcphee got a gig.

Lappin has to be there abouts his a freak.

How so?

He is going to romp in the Best and Fairest at a Finals team, he leads the league in marks despite being only 178cm, is 2nd in the league in kicks, is behind only Jimmy Bartel for both total ranking points and average ranking points on the season.

Do some research

If you'd watched footy this year, you would know that Tarkyn Lockyer should be one of the FIRST players selected this year, as he has been absolutely terrific.

Mr stats man, each & everyone of those marks are uncontested for one so just scrap that stat, he has had no where near the influence on games that some of those other players have & is simply not an AA player he may have had more kicks in afew games but i'd take 15 kicks from a Harvey, Bartel, Lappin, Lewis ahead of 25 from lockyer.

And exactly why should his marks be contested?

He's an outside player with brilliant skills - Should be going and finding his man to take contested marks over him, should he? He doesn't take marks playing as a sweeper across the half back line, as many people have proven you can rack up meaningless stats doing. He takes his marks through the midfield and pushing onto the half forward line.

He takes uncontested marks because he runs harder than any other player in the league, without exception, and continually finds space to run into and deliver the ball accurately. Why exactly are his kicks barely half as valuable as those guys, in your opinion?

Last time I checked, that makes for a damn fine player.
 
:p:)Taz (Jordan Lewis) has been sensational all yr for hawthorn..and a few off the other players there too have but cant let Taz down on voting for someone else.:)
 
Its a shame there no more natual wingman anymore.

I would expect to see Griffen on the wing in the next couple of years. Maybe he can re-invent the old school wingman:thumbsu:

Actually six were contested. :rolleyes:

But Lockyer >> Lappin last year
