Fantastic win by the Aussies...and saved me $20 for the Day 5 admission as well!!! I don't think we will appreciate just how good this side is until we start failing again, but they are clearly a class above every other side in the world.

Pitiful effort by the Springboks, Kallis aside, who was very unlucky not to get a well-deserved ton. But the Australian fielding was exceptional, the bowling was tight and the South Africans played some shots, that were quite frankly pathetic given the easy nature of the pitch. Just what was Gibbs thinking trying to smash every ball out of the park?

Let's grind them into the turf in Sydney so we have a real advantage for the series in February!

That is the attitude that I like. Lets give the South African side the mother of all thrashings in the Sydney test, then I would think that their confidence against us in the one dayers, and the series in South Africa, would be at an all time low. Lets hope so anyway.

Congrats to the Aussies for winning the series! I thought it would of been much harder then this - although South Africa might find something special in Sydney. I think New Zealand have actually played much better attacking cricket against us this year.

Nice solid performance by the 3 West Australians in this test too.

Got back from the Test not long ago, as usual, enjoyed the 3 days we went to. Apart from the rain.

Man, as well as Hayden batted and it was a good knock, I was really p*ssed off when he got out straight after a break. He threw away a double ton, IMO. He was batting that well. And his catching and ground fielding was outstanding as well.
Felt for Steve Waugh, getting run out in the 90's, and for Kallis. We were listening to the SA 2nd dig in the car on the way home.

Waugh's and Pollock's dismissals got me thinking, have there ever been a Test played where both Captains have been run out? Anybody want to take up the challenge and find out if that has ever been the case?

South Africa are a joke.
It doesnt say much for the other cricket playing nations that this was a so called title for the best team goin around.

Australia were made to look good by an average team. NZ will creme em in the one dayers at this rate... not to mention Australia

even though we are still a class above the south africans, we still dont go any further ahead of them on the test cricket championship,i believe the points will stay the same
but just say the series had of been a draw, then sa would have been number one in the world
