Magloire is hungry for the silver ware...

Maybe it'll be 3rd time luck for Ming when he attempts a 3PT.:D

AI is throwing out all kinds of passes & alleys, very entertaining.:)

If Garnett gets the minutes, he might get a triple double. 10/6/6 to this point, but they just took him out in the 3rd.

I hope they don't give O'Neal a heap of minutes to get the MVP award again...

He's definitely making a statement about being worthy. Having a great game.

How good was the T-Mac off the backboard slam in the second? Another highlight was the smile of AK-47 scoring his first points on the buzzer at the end of the third. Priceless.

Worth a look P&P. An entertaining game.

Kidd and Kiri played much?
Kiri hasn't had a lot of game time, but is clearly having a good time. Kidd is having a great game along with Martin. His court vision is beautiful.

Miller sprained and ankle and won't play in the fourth.

If only Webber didn't have a 6 game + ban when he returns Tuesday (most likely). :(

Severity of the sprain?

Talking of sprained ankles, i hope to god B-Diddy didn't play much.
Didn't look too bad. I'd guess that it was more precautionary.

B-Diddy moved well and like most of the guards made some sweet passes.

As Dingster said it didn't look to bad, he got up and walked/hobbled off the court.

B Diddy played alright, not outstanding, no signs of injury to him though. :D

Who was the rampaging goon who took the lay up to the basket that knocked Miller flying? I can't remember......

Great game though, pleny of highlights, big dunks, alley etc.. Kidd was awesome, as was Iverson. K-Mart and Magloire were pretty impressive in their first outings.

Thought it was weird when Kobe had an open court dunk, he just layed it up? Then his own crown booed him?? Dont know why he didnt dunk it.

But the two plays of the game for me were T-Mac's off the board to himself, that is now truly his signature move and oh man does he do it well. LeBron needs to take lessons because I saw him do it in the Rookie game but T-Mac makes it an art form! Jumped out of my chair with that dunk!!

And the second highlight being Kidd to K-Mart. Running at full pace and throwing an underarm, left hand (off hand for Kidd) almost half way length LOOKAWAY alley oop to K-Mart was something else. Just amazing! And of course K-Mart finished with his usual power dunking self!

Loved it, great spectacle.

I must take this further....throwing an alley oop at the best of times is quite difficult. Im a PG in my casual tuesday night leagues and throwing alleys are difficult!

But then step back to half court....makes it even tougher. Then throw it underarm with your off hand! I doubt I could even make the distance throwing it underarm with my off hand...

But then! Try running at full pace which throws you completely off kilter and often makes you put too much on your pass. BUT THEN!! dont even LOOK in the freaking general direction of where your passing it!!

Kidd is....I dont know....cant describe him.

I agree. I ran the point for Broadmeadows in the SEABL about 7-8 years ago for a couple of seasons and after training (which was three times per week), myself, the back up PG and our five big dunkers would practiice the lob passes for half an hour after the practise was done. Still, we'd only connect in a game about 80% of the time (I blame those unco-ordinated big guys for that :) ) and were discouraged from trying the play too often.

Kidd has an amazing knack of being able to hit his teammate in the exact spot he needs it, at exactly the right moment. I'd say his alley-oop strike rate would be closer to 95% and that is with either hand too. Just takes amazing skill and control to do that, especially from the angles and distances he does it from.

I have no doubt that if Kidd were a stats-oriented player, he could keep the ball in his hands and then dish off to get assists and he'd be averaging near 15 a game... but as a result, Jersey would be nowhere near the team they are as their team offence comes first.

So yeah, basically saying that I agree with you. Having played the position at a relatively decent level, I too am in awe of Kidd's passing ability. Beautiful to watch :)

Not to take away from the supreme JKidd, but he was pretty much at the three point line when he threw that alley. You can kind of understand why Kidd wanted to a) stay in Joisey b) get Thorn to keep Martin/Jefferson. He just throws it up and he's got two outstanding finishing forwards. Life must be grand for KMart and **** Jeff.
