I have had a couple of enquiries about the 2010 Sponsorship group. I understand the other thread is huge and the info is spread about all over it. I am creating this thread to condense the information and present it in an easy to read and understand format. Here goes.

What's all this 'ere?

The Collingwood Football club offers 'Player Sponsorship Packages' from their membership department. We, as a group, are going to pool our money together in order to purchase one of these packages.
The packages cost between $1750 and $2500 (depending on which player we choose), and include a number of benefits (I will call these 'prizes' from now on).
We choose a player to sponsor, pay for the package, and then throughout the season we raffle off the prizes between the members of the Sponsorship group.

That is a very basic rundown. I know you will have a lot more questions, and I will endeavor to answer them all in this and the next couple of posts.

FAQ

Q: Who can join?
A: Anyone! A few of the prizes are tickets to events that are 18+ only, so you may want to either omit yourself from those raffles, or be prepared to give them to your Dad.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: As much (or as little) as you want it to! To just be a part of the group, and get a snazzy little button below your name (see my Didak button on the left) you could donate as little as $1! BUT, to be eligble for the prizes, you must donate at least $50.

Q: What do I get for my money?
A: For each $50 that you contribute, you will receive one ticket in our prize raffles. (Once you have won a prize, you may not keep contributing in the raffles.) There are 12 prizes all up, see the next post for more details.
If you contribute between $50 and $99, you will receive a 12 Month subscription to the BIGFOOTY GOLD SUPPORTERS GROUP!
If you contribute $100 or more, you will receive a 12 Month subscription to the BIGFOOTY PLATINUM SUPPORTERS GROUP!
These supporter groups offer great benefits such as BIG avatars, longer signatures and NO ADVERTS! Please click here for more info.
Everyone will receive a sponsorship badge under their BigFooty username on the left.
And last, but not least, you get to tell your mates you are an official Player Sponsor of <insert name here>!!

Q: OK I have decided to join (because I am not insane), how do I pay?
A: Easy! Once you have joined the private sponsorship group, you will find a thread in there with bank account details. You can either make a direct deposit using net banking or telephone banking, or head down to your local Westpac branch and make the deposit with the help of a friendly bank teller.

Q: Who choose which player we sponsor?
A: You all do! Once you have joined and paid up, just PM me your votes in BROWNLOW format.
