I almost got excited when Parksy ran down that Roberts Rd wing taking a bounce or two, then looked up, didn't see much, kept running and had another bounce, looked again and then let rip and almost kicked a goal.

And yes, masai, I thought of you.

I knew it was bad day today when I have taken the missus (Egirl fan) for a change and although she was trying her best to support Freo, could not help laughing when one of our blokes dodged, weaved, stopped, slipped, fell over and hand passed back over his head to a nest of Roos to gift them a goal. The group around us stared at her having rightly spotted an imposter, but then we all had to laugh at what we had just seen.

Yep good old Parks led by example. After the team had done 50 000 handballs back and forward, he just said stuff this I'll show em how how to do it. If only 211 was in the team, he would have done the honourable thing and shepherded the ball through. Let's try for a goal in his 200th game, that is my next dream?.

If only some of the other "senior" players showed as much pride in their performance as Parks, we'd be doing ok. They should lock Parks and Cookie in a room with some those other senior players, and between the glare of Parks and the shirtfronts of Cookie, only good can come of it.

Dead set club legend (he has moments where he gets a bit stupid but don't we all) but love his work would have been the best goal ever scored by the club ever!

Sorry to forget Jeff, even his bitterist (sp) critics are now seeing the workman like, team orientated Jeffery. Jeff has alot of pride and has paid Freo back for their investment, as for some others ........ they must learn that word PRIDE.

I was calling for a one man forward line on Sunday after Pav went off, Jeff was doing everything on his own.
