Last year the AFL told clubs they had to have an alternative strip. Heard/read all about Essendon and Collingwood etc but nothing about Hawthorn. Does anyone know if Hawthorn has designed a new clash strip, and if the answer is yes, is it going to be that appalling grey?:thumbsd:

I love our colours but with a view to the AFL demand and as a way of raising additional income from the sale of the alternative strip, I wrote to the club some time back asking them to look at orange for the clash strip. It is from the same colour palette If you have seen the Dutch national team in orange the effect is sensational. But I heard nothing

Playing in brown and gold we hardly clash with anyone. But if we had to have a clash strip I would rather a bit of grey than orange :O. Hawks (the animal) have bit of grey blended into their color too. I do not like the color orange too much. Brown gold stripes with maybe grey sides would look a professional look :)

i would not mind it if we wear a version of box hills clash strip. The silver looks great. We could wear the silver with a brown and gold V. Original and basic, no designer types as seen in the brisbane one

We should just stick to the brown and gold - there is no clash!

If we're forced to have one, something with a big hawk on the front would be good, and a raised 2 finger salute on the back! A great view for the opposition as we streak away from them down the park!

something simmilar to our warm up jumper?

Claw marks seem to be the rage in the nab cup.

How bout won with wo sets of claw marks on the bach which look like the wearer has recently rooted a chick and made her dig her fingernails in in delight

Oh The Chick en Hawk design!

I like grey/silver as the third colour (if this was mandatory to be introduced for a clash jumper). The club tends to bring in navy blue as its third colour on a lot of its clothing/merchandise - which i am not a huge fan of.

The only team that ever clashed with Hawthorn were the Brisbane Bears - so as its stands it's gotta be Brown and Gold stripes all the way. I love the fact that people hate our jumper - it really does make us one of the most easily identifyable clubs - it's great when you are watching the cricket and u see a guy with a Hawthorn jumper in the crowd - he sticks out like u wouldnt believe!
