Thought it would be fun to have a thread where you can post truly amazing stats/facts.
Obviously not everyone will agree, but, how's this for a start :

Did you know almost half of our list (46%) are players taken in the first round of the draft? I can only imagine GC/GWS would have lists with so many first round draftees. This is the main list only, so doesn't even include Wood who is a rookie and whom went at pick 18 in the draft.

1 Murphy
1 Gibbs
1 Kreuzer
1 Weitering
2 Thomas
2 Walker
3 Plowman
10 Gorringe
10 McKay
10 Sumner
11 Everitt
12 Docherty
12 Jaksch
12 Curnow
13 Cripps
19 Boekhorst
21 Lamb
23 Cuningham

Are they first round picks?

My point has less to do with the respective quality. You're always going to get some who don't shine. KJ is yet to make a mark.
And in any event, all other non GWS/GC clubs shared the same fate, that is they all got their picks pushed back.
Watson ring any bells?

Maybe I am the only one who actually think Boek, Cuningham and Lamb have some elite traits to their game.
Lamb is no superstar but gee he is a safe , solid player for us. it is a far cry from when more than half our list didn't know how to hit the side of a barn.

Anyhow, point is - nearly half the list are first round picks, can any non GWS/GC clubs say the same??

Boek and Cuningham will be very handy midfielders for us IMO. Cuningham simply can't show that amazing training form and not have it translate to AFL. Boek is one of those players though that needs to be 100% fit to play good footy, was amazing the first few weeks when up and running then very ordinary when hurt. Only had a quarter of VFL since injuring himself earlier in the year.

This thread needs more Cripps stats. Youngest player to reach whatever stat and comparison with the greats.

I'm sure we are all quite familiar with the more recent statistical achievements, but I think this one deserves a mention.

Patrick Cripps - quickest player to reach 200 clearances (31st game).

EDIT: Including comparisons as mentioned by Zee (his post wasn't showing when I first hit post)

Hawthorn’s Sam Mitchell (36 games) was the previous record holder, ahead of Western Bulldogs youngster Tom Liberatore (37). From a Carlton perspective, former Blue Adam Bentick (58) ranks second behind Cripps, while captain Marc Murphy (third) took 66 games to reach the 200-mark.

Boekhorst has a lot of very good traits.......getting injured though, seems to be one not-so-good trait.
He'll make for a wonderful addition to a good squad. He's cream.......not the cake.

Cuningham also has a very good trick but has work to do around the rest of his game.....being injured doesn't help though.

Lamb? I don't see anything elite, but he's been doing well and seems to have upside to go along with that.......time will tell.

Interesting and useless stat:
There are 132 players in the league, that have played at least one senior game this year, and are averaging 20 disposals or more (breakdown of 25+ and 30+ averages in brackets for even more uselessness).
ADE = 8 players (3 @ 25+)
BRIS = 7 (0 @ 25+)
CAR = 8 (4 @ 25+)
COL = 6 (4 @ 25+ & 1 @ 30+)
ESS = 8 (4 @ 25+)
FREO = 7 (1 @ 30+)
GCS = 5 (3 @ 25+)
GEEL = 8 (2 @ 25+)
GWS = 10 (3 @ 25+)
HAW = 7 (2 @ 25+)
MELB = 6 (3 @ 25+)
NTH = 7 (0 @ 25+)
PORT = 5 (1 @ 25+)
RICH = 8 (3 @ 25+ & 1 @30+)
STK = 8 (3 @ 25+)
SYD = 6 (4 @ 25+ & 2 @ 30+)
WB = 14 (5 @ 25+ & 1 @ 30+) - 2 of those players have only played 3-4 games
WC = 4 (3 @ 25+)

Marc Murphy is no.1 in the all time Carlton list for contested possessions
Where you getting the all-time stats from? I was just having a browse for something like this.
I like looking at all-time stats and seeing the active players that are working their way up the lists (occasionally like to look at the NBA ones for this).
