AMD vs Intel

Which is an Intel.

Intel is dominating AMD lately, definitely go with an Intel.

I'm sure AMD will come back - but if you're buying today, then Intel.

Intel has won the war.... AMD are almost too far behind to compete aside from cheap budget cpu's.

I hope they come back as competition is a good thing, but AMD have some serious catching up to do. They need to release a new T-Bird type chip to get them back on track. Perhaps with the aquisition of ATI they can create a better throughput between CPU and GPU and get an advantage in the gaming sector.

You mean ATi, Radeon is a card line they make. And AMD bought out ATi.

Funny thing is nVidia are thumping ATi right now too.

buyouts never work for one company, compaq were the better pc makers till the hp deal, strange thats where all of hps amd chips end up.

At the moment Intel wins. But AMD have some decent stuff if you have to buy cheap.
