Today my little bloke, Addy (short for Andreas) 5, played his first competitive game of footy at his local Auskick club, the mighty East Sydney Bulldogs! Dressed resplendidly in his Western Bulldogs gear he played u/8's and lined up on the forward line.

He was captain of the team and I am delighted to say he booted 4 goals in his first ever match. He was the only player to get more than one goal!

His old man was pretty chuffed and a fairly useless goal umpire, slipping over once when signalling a goal!! :D

Sensational stuff!

Just keep those Swans scouts away.

And speaking of useless goal umpires, I was goal umpire for an Auskick match on Colonial last year. It was one of the games played back-to-back with one set of goal posts in the middle for both games. My son was playing in the game behind me so I spent most of my time watching his game rather than the one I was assigned to umpire. So I guess that qualifies me as useless too. But despite the surface, I didn't slip over.

4 goal as a 5 y.o in u/8's!

What a star!

Bring back the old form 4's - sign him up now.

PS Doctor, what would you do if the Swans pre-draft him?

well Jim I've got about 12 years to work on a response to that one should it ever happen ;) .

But to answer your question if he was good enough to play I wouldn't care where it was so long as he is happy.

but if the Dogs said they want him I'd tell the swans he regularly misbehaves, doesn't do his homework, won't mow the lawns, eats junk food, loves rugby league, and thinks Paul Kelly was a singer in a rock band! :D
