Anyone else feel like we are missing him at the moment. Mid sized forward would be ideal under the current circumstances.

hmm yea sorta (he'd be better than miller). if he could kick the 2 goals a game consistently then we'd probably still have him.

glad we have grigg atm tho.

what size weight was he? did he have the fitness for stints in the middle. herd he was an excellent kick too...

Just wondering aloud and wouldn't dare start a thread on it, but what price Richard Tambling?

Lol, the guy had 3 touches for Sturt on the weekend, his career is over.

Grigg > Collins but I liked Collins.

definitely time to hold a steady course and keep moving forward. no looking over the shoulder here.

Grigg has had a great year so far and has backed himself too.
To watch him stroll into an open goal instead of looking for someone else to carry the burden, was another step forward in his development and you can tell he loves being at Richmond.

We did well in this trade.

:)I said it about round four last year, Collins will be gone from Carlton the moment his contract expires (which I beleive is at the end of this year). I have no reason to change my opinion.
One of the most over-hyped players on our list in the last decade.

Think Collins signed a 3 year deal. Has one to go.

Yep, we did well out of that. Not saying Grigg is a star but he's handy

Apologies for the bling remark. I really wish him well.

One of the golden rules of Supercoach - don't trade out a player with the intention of trading them back in at a later stage.

We are talking Supercoach here, right?

No?! lol wut :D

I didn't rate Grigg early last year but in his defense we were playing him all over the place. Seems to be playing wing for the majority of games this year and I've watched him closely. He works his ass off to create space/spread. People have been saying he gets cheap kicks.... There not cheap when you run half the ground to create a option.

Definitely a massive upgrade on Collins.

I would much prefer Grigg, but they are different players. I like Collins and he would have a role at Richmond.

187cm 80kg (25 games at Richmond, 23 goals)

Not going to buy into this all to much, but in reality a fit Andy Collins would have a party in our FL atm. For all his faults and deficiencies, he did get to the right spots more often than not. But we move on now.

This FL of ours has me ****ed on what they are doing with it. I mean, if i were a mid sized to small forward, tipping 10 minutes into the 2nd quarter of R1 i would have worked out that shit, they are not taking marks, so my best bet to snag a goal is to be at the bottom of the marking contest or in and around there somewhere..4 rounds later and the shit still hasnt hit home with us...who the **** is coaching them? Why is it that the ball hits the deck and its basically a freebie no one around, just waltz out of defence for the opposition time and time again. While our players are zoning and all that shit and working out trignomotry and mecha****insms.. ;)

IT'S interesting Cogga ... Dimma preached defence from day one of his arrival at Punt Road and made it the first priority in his first year. This year we have gone and got Ross Smith - a defensive wizz - and the backline seems to be a shining light. They haven't given up any real big scores and guys like Rance, Grimes, Morris, Ellis and Batchelor are working together well. There's also been emphasis on the midfield, but it seems in all this, the forward line has been overlooked, if not shunned. It isn't working down there at the moment at all - bigs and smalls. Not sure Collins would be the answer, but a spark is needed somewhere. Not suggesting they are the answer, but seems time we tried something from left field, like a Daniel Connors, or maybe even Shane Tuck, down there. The status quo can't be maintained any longer. It's a rabble!
