I was just wondering, do you guys know how Eriksen is going???

He was drafted in 2003 as a very tall and skinny ruckman. Has anyone seen him play and is he chance to get a game anytime soon?

I figured he might have been on the brink of a game when Jolly was suspended and you were missing Ball and Doyle. But having not seen him play in your 2's I wasn't all that sure.

Cheers...

I personally think that he should be given a chance, considering that he has been on the list as a development ruckman.

But sometimes big men take a little while longer than other players to develop, look at Cameron Wight of the Bulldogs for example he made his debut in his third year on the list.

We got enough ruckmen at the moment even with doyle injured - ball, jolly and goodes.

We won't see Erikson in the senior team this year and maybe not next year either. He is definitely developing in the reserves but is still built like a stick insect. He is getting used to the physicality of AFL (having more of a basketball background) but doesn't look as if he yet relishes it. Still, his disposal skills have definitely improved and he is remarkably agile below his knees for someone that tall. I've seen him kick a couple of crumbing goals that Schneider or Buchanan would have been happy with.

yeah went to school with him. He was probably about 6'6" in year 8 and continued to shoot up. I never saw him in the weights room but played bball against him and he was slamming em' down. backward dunks the whole box 'n' dice. He did High jump for athletics and was very good.
