Frodo, I didn't think it was a sarcastic roar - I thought it was a roar of encouragement and pleasure for him that he had taken the mark. Guess it depends on what interpretation you want to put on it :)

And Vicki, I NEVER bag any player during a game, I support all of them. But I'd have to be deaf not to hear what others shout and especially that sarcastic roar when he actually took a mark (then missed the goal). Yes he was better than during the saints game but he only presented 50% of the time and dropped easy marks too.
The guy is down and needs a rest from AFL.
From what I saw of Doogs, he has taken the criticism on board and has gone out to show some aggression. He was backing into packs, bumping blokes and getting stuck in when there was aggro. He dropped off a bit as the game progressed, but he showed that he wasn't averse to having a go at improving his game.

If Worsfold's dinkum about rewarding effort, Doogs will get another run next week. If he doesn't continue to put in, then sure, drop him.

Dropping mcdougall isn't going to solve the problem. We have to play him until we're satisfied either way. He solves the problem or he becomes the problem. At the moment he has potential. That's it. I agree his workrate was MUCH better on the weekend. BUT he needs to start taking those marks when they're in his hands AND when he doesn't get many chances he needs to convert, not kick points from set shots.
