How do we go in milestone games? My recollections are not so well but then you do have to change the sequence at some stage and McLeod's 200th is no better time....

From what I can remember, we've only won one big milestone game. Smarty's 200th I think it was against Richmond at the Dome...or I coulda just pulled that from no where...

Good luck to McLeod for his 200th game. I hope he plays a blinder.

Judging by his perofmances in Showdown's lately he will struggle if played in the midfield. Shaun Hart ans Kane Conres are 2 players that ALWAYS have his measure.

Play him off the HBF and give him a brief run in the midfield once Roo is out of the square for a quick rest.

Perhaps your on to something & it could make the difference aerodynamically...

Just hope we see some vintage Macca Magic!

Damn straight! Let's hope he does.

Well Macca couldnt have chosen worse form to come into a milestone game with. Lets hope he can lift and have a beauty on Saturday night.

Good Luck, Macca, lets turn this milestone into something special!!

How about something different for a change and start him as a crumbing forward in the goal square, hanging around the feet of Carey et al - be interesting who Chocco would put on him, once he knew what was happening.

Port would play Wanga on him. McLeod is not the most defensively minded player. He is pretty lose when he mans up so playing Wanganeen on him would work well for the power.

Apart from the Geelong game I think McLeod's last 2-3 games off HBF have been pretty good.

The problem against the Cats was they dragged Macca out of the play to a back-pocket. We must ensure if this happens again that Macca swaps with another defender's opponent to allow him to attack of a HBF.

Yeah thats another issue or get an extra player in defence and play McLeod as a sweeper which would be a disaster for the other team.

Champion player, Champion Territorian, and that's all that should be in this thread.

I don't think Cornes will be tagging this week.

Was only half watching but pretty sure Tim Watson on 'Talking Footy' last night referred to McLeod as a Brownlow Medallist.

Well, he was robbed.

You've never spoken a truer word.

Incidentally, don't you just want to strange those Port supporters who say the PAFC/PAMFC/Franchises Still Available is his 'rightful place' to return to?

You'd almost think they were insulting the Top End.

I always want to strange those Port supporters, but it always seems that someone gets to them before me. :D

See my reasoning is probably different to yours. He's a Territorian before he's a South Australian and if he was ever going to leave the AFC fold (that is, not just retire but also venture away for a bit like Schimmelbush did with North) he'd come back to Darwin, not over to bloody Alberton. I doubt many Port supporters knew his NTFL history before he was drafted to AFC/now know anything about his time up here still.

Two points:

1) Why do you think Crows supporters would have any more of an idea of his NT heritage than Port supporters.

2) Where do you get this idea that McLeod hates Port. About 2 years ago he was quoted saying that if he had to change clubs his first choice would be Port.
