Hey all just posting this out of curiosity as it seems to me a lot of crows fans are interested in looking at this option.
If a viable trade arose for the AFC which involved trading Andrew Mcleod do you think we should go along with it???
IMO we SHOULDN'T trade Mcleod. Admittedly the club is in the biggest rebuilding phase in its entire history and i also concede that to get quality you must give up quality.
HOWEVER are we not also trying to build a heritage and a tradition that will follow on and be remembered for years to come. I concede that Andrew Mcleod is certainly on the wane as far as his career is concerned. It must also be taken into consideration however that this man has won 2 Norm Smith Medals, has been runner up in the brownlow and has been BOG in countless finals and crucial finals type games. To get rid of a man who has done so much for our club is getting rid of part of our history. For example when Kernahan reached the end of his career (after playing 3 years too long) the option of trading him was not even considered as he had played such a key role in Carlton's success. I'm not proffessing that i'm right and we do need a fresh injection of talent but surely there are better ways to go about it than trading a player who many would argue has been the greatest (if not one of) in the clubs short yet successful history.
