Andrew McLeod Tribute Dinner

One of the highlights from the Andrew McLeod Tribute Dinner at the Entertainment Centre last night was the performances from the Crows' Indigenous boys.

Rex Hunt was MC and did a tremendous job as did his co-host Ryan Fitzgerald.

There were video tributes from around the country, namely from Gary Ablett Jnr (who remembered the first time he played against Macca and mentioned that it was such a privilege), Daniel Kerr, Dean Cox, Brett Kirk, Nathan Buckley, Bruce McAvaney, Nathan Lovett, Malcolm Blight, Billy Brownless and Sam Newman, Gary Lyon and James Brashaw, Mike Sheenan, Scott Welsh, Hayden Skipworth, James Hird, Gerard Healy and Straughnie just to name a few.

Thanks for the vid.

It's good to see Griff embrace the heritage he has, it would be difficult for him at times as he's noticably taller and whiter, but good to see he's more comfortable with it.

And ofcourse, very big props to McLeod. Great to see him running throught the middle again.

but on Twitter the club were going to tweet about the tribute dinner & put up pictures, and when they didn't I asked why and they've just replied and said it was Andrew's request that they didn't put stuff up because of the personal and aboriginal aspects of the night so I'm not too sure if he'd appreciate this video being put on the net.
