Hmm. Would Andrew Raines be worth a late first rounder to a early 2nd rounder? Or am i dreaming a little bit?

He's still young 22 years of age. Great defender but injurys have got the worst of him this year.

Knowing wallace He'll stuff us up come Trade + Draft. He does it every year.

Anyway

Whats andrew raines worth?

Well he has shown more than Morton did before we got him and we thought Morton was a bargain at 34... I'd say a pick around 35-45... but when the Gold coast came in he might be worth 20's:thumbsu:

No he is not. he is a running link man at best he is a line breaker at worst he is way to loose and his oponents have a field day.

That is true. Teams have found him out as he likes to run through tackles. So when they tackle him, they tackle him extra hard and maybe a couple of people onto him. Unless he brings the don't argue into his game abit more, or anything else that would work he is quite worthless.

What about those few weeks in 06 when he absolutely shut down Ricciuto and then Ablett in the back pocket? Why can't he do that again?

Can't believe how far Raines has fallen in Richmonds pecking order.

I always thought he was a gun. I still think the Tigers would be crazy to let him go - a player of his talent.

Reminds me of shades of the David Rodan scenario.

he just got back from injury and has just re injured himself yesterday so he hasn't fallen at all just bad run of injury's should keep him and McGuine
both are good especially McGuine he is playing well
cant even remember how long it has been since raines played for tigers

Raines sure hasnt done anything to impress over the last couple of seasons. What's funny is that if it wasnt for his surname, I'd consider him a nothing-special player. Good - but nothing special.

He would need to step up big time to get back in favour. :thumbsu:

You guys are like day traders on the stock market!

We pick a player, we give them 1-3 (short term in footy world) years and then we want to sell them.

I'm all for it if we make a profit (good players in return) out of it!
