what do people think of andrew welsh? Do use think he is a young gun?? I no a little about him.. i recon his a great player! He has a cousin jesse d smith at the calder cannons who is playing in the under 18 carnival! Watch him his number 28... Hopefully essendon pick him up in the draft...

You're mixing up Welsh with Dyson...

He's good, not just in ability, but bloody damn good attitude. Never throws the towel in, does the team thing (you'd be amazed how many 1%ers he does), has a good experience of leadership back at Calder U18, so yes, put him in the leadership group.

It's a travesty if that childish sook MJ stays in the leadership group next season, Woosha might be young but he deserves it

Absolute gun. Played most of the season with a broken hand (reason he had that black ninja glove). He is a toughnut, who always puts his body on the line for the team. However, occasionly he does dangerous things, like kicking across goal. He has stepped up this year and has been very consistant and solid in what has been a turbulent season.
Not ready just yet to be in the leadership group, although he does have good credentials (captain of Calder, VC of Vic Metro).

I agree with Cooldude, Woosha should be in the leadership group in the near future. He runs hard and he wants the ball. He has a great attitude towards his teammates and he shows respect towards his opponents.

Big fan of Welsh but one thing that does concern me is his ability to be sucked in by opponents. Point in case Motlop - he lost the plot on him and was completely taken out of the game, which hurt our run out of defence. This is his only real chink and if he gets this right with age I agree about him becoming a captain.
