I saw in the paper that Andy Krakouer was not going to play on Friday night. Then today someone told me his best mate died over in W.A. during the week and that was why. Anyone know anything about this? I feel sorry for him if its true. Nun the less the kid had a great game really impressed with his attack on the footy.

Yes thats true andy's best mate (his cousin) died 2 weeks ago(well thats what frawley said in an interview after the game) and the funeral was on friday. So Andrew was going to go to the funeral. I think andy's dad persuaded him to play.

wonderful kid young andy and he wants to stay with us for a long while like d rod and coghs.
I have a feeling he will play every game with the memory of his mate aand he alwys plays with the spark of his old man deep in his heart

Im looking forward to the young fella adopting the No 3 jumepr next yr once DK retires...pretty sure that was his old mans number or was it No 8 ...either way both be vacant , although Roachy will put dibs on that one

I am not sure that this has been decided by the club yet? Though we have made a point of the sons wearing the same numbers as their fathers.

I dont know that there ever is any formal public discussions but I would hazard a guess that young Krak would love to wear the No 3 ...personally i like to see the youngsters wear the same numbers...Roachy as 8 and Raines ...well havent seen much but fingers crossed he can get the No 4

cheers!

MAY I add,"Naturally" skilled ,to the prior statement...

He's just beginning to put it together and until now( imo)
has been running on RAW talent.

It was only a matter of time b4 he worked his way
into the mid-field.Someone with 2nd and 3rds as gutsy as his
is a major.

The club has handled his development well, allowing him to
become Andy Krakouer and no justt "The Son Of."

Imagine him at 24/25 years of age.
