Not sure why McLeod was made captain, but good on him. Had a sensational year.

Ive criticized him a bit, but thoroughly deserved as a leader.

His humbleness in receiving the award was gold. He's stepped up 2 notches in my book. He hung his head as though he didn't really deserve it. But he does.

-he is not in his clubs current leadership squad, and it was a player decision as to why he wasn't there
-popular opinion by neutral observers who have no affiliation to either Adelaide or Brisbane.

Regardless of the process (or lack of) surrounding selection of this side......it troubles me to read the deriding comments directed at those selected and the naming of the Captain.

Good point. The reason why he was selected right there. You have to bow to their better judgement if they witnessed first hand his leadership.

He really does have to be one of the shiest most humble guys I have ever met, all about what every body else is doing and nothing about him. He is a bloody unselfish player too, it's just him. Very deserving. Well in Macca.

Agreed. The only criticism i have is 9 Cats nominated, 9 selected. All deserve their right in some capacity, but easily argued.

I'd never argue Mcleods selection as Captain.

Good to see some sanity prevailed in and about the Geelongathon.

Captaincy was a bit much though - should've been out of the captains named as is usually the custom. Brown, Pav and Johnson.
