Gotta agree with that. What are you going to do with him, trade him out or hope that he will come good?

It's a tough one but with the role sheedy seems to be using him in doesn't appear very effective for dream team.

Against all Dream Team logic, i dropped Monfries about 1 hour before round 1. Because Sheeds had named him on the bench. Maybe me nervous, i don't really see him as a forward target, or a regular midfielder. Monfries will be a good player, just needs to find a position. + Essendon have been playing good footy, so they haven't really needed to mess with the structure of the team. I'm glad i don't have him, but don't fret if you do.

I traded him last week for N aBlett.. basically to free up 110k for someone who is scori ng a lot higher and will increase to higher value than him... As good a trade i will make IMO

Some of the pre-season hype about Monfries was due to the fact that people at the club said he would get some time in the Midfield. After 3 rounds he hasn't entered the center square.

Unless we see a dramatic change in his role, get him rid of him ASAP, if you haven't already. Playing as a small forward around Lloyd and Lucas isn't going to get anyone consistently good dreamteam scores.

I wasn't watching the game at that point (picked it up mid 3rd quarter), but I checked the FF scores at quarter time and thought things must have come good.

Was he just being handy in the forward line at the time?

I sense a few 'Monfries or Franklin - WHO TO GO????/' threads in the coming week.

J brown for monfries could be my next trade. surely monfries has got to be the worst pick up this season so far.

Agree he was all the rage here before the season started...for some reason. It has been great to see him put up average scores.

I think you will find the main reason alot picked Monfries was because he was a similar price to Nathan BROWN. When people found out BROWNY was out a few days before the season started, then Monfries was a quick and easy replacement.

Rushed decision that has not paid off for me. Might be goodbye Monfries this week.

Im going to trade Monfries out for Edwards. Edwards will be on the bench appreciating in value, and ill be starting Hawkins instead of Monfries. Might be a bit risky, but I need the cash (I get nearly $170K out of it). Using the money to upgrade Raines to Shaw.

Just had a look through for players of similar or less value than Monfires in Supercoach.

Struggled to find anyone that jumped out at me as being worth using a trade on.

Considering Hawkins (will free up money, but may not play every week) Risky!

lol, the justification was "By all reports Monfries is set for a break out year" Very convincing!!

after geting in lucas for al. davey monfries is argueably my worst forward line player......il sleep well knowing that...he will come good.....its only round 3 for gods sake....

o gosh, no....

upgrade him man. find some cash and upgrade him. if you really have no way of upgrading him, then downgrade him and upgrade somewhere else. no point trading him for a similar player.
