IMHO i think the AFL is giving too much help to Ben when Angwin had the same problems. Huge double standards in place.

Sack Cousins the loser!

bring back Angwin, at least he didn't beat up his team mates. Same goes for Karl Norman. they were just two kids who lived a little. We All make mistakes, only some bigger than others.

Sack Cousins now or Reinstate Angwin and KKKarl Norman

but i think Karl should be placed on the rookie list for next year. one stuff up and he is out though. i think he was just easily led by Angwin. Karl is a good bloke from what i hear.

The club didn't sack Angwin or Norman due to drug issues. Angwin was sacked because of an accumulation of transgressions that just happened to culminate in the turning up to training wasted, and Norman was given another year but didn't have a good attitude.

Carlton sacked the players for their reasons, the AFL did not lean on them to do so. It wasn't an AFL issue at the time.

As far as Cousins receiving more sympathy ... it is all about who keeps those turnstiles clicking over. Fev has reaped a few rewards on this principle too IMO.

West Coast have handled the media side quite well. However i'm not sure about the club paying for his flight, rehab and extra rehab/stay in the US. Shouldn't this come out of Ben's money? It's something he has to want to do himself. I dont know where i stand on this issue.

HAHA........dont think mooroopna (my local club) would be too impressed if Karl Norman left them! although iwatched him play yesterday, and while mooroopna won, karl didnt seem to do very much at all unfortunately.

ODN, it is very unfair to compare the situations between Fev and Cousins.

Gee AWG, reading a lot into that comment. What I am saying is that star players do not cop as much punishment for their indiscretions from their clubs, compared to lesserlights. I am not saying that a bar scuffle and drug use are on the same scale.
