I have been reading the bigfooty forums for quite a long time now and have found myself compelled to finally join up and voice my opinion on vaious AFL topics. So I suppose I introduce myself below with some of my thoughts and hope that you all welcome me and don't hit me too hard...
I AM a Cats fan, always have been and always will.
I AM a member and have been since I was 12 years old (I'm now 30)
I HAVE attended 5 losing Grand Finals (3 Day and 2 night)
I HAVE missed the only Premiership in my lifetime because I was overseas (2006)
I AM so relieved that Costa, Cook and Thompson took over our club some years ago and salvaged what was probably a sinking ship at the time.
I AM Amazed at the level of football being played by our club.
I HAVE Never seen Scarlett, Harley and Egan play so well together.
I AM very excited by a player named Joel Selwood.
I BELIEVE Ablett and Bartel are now up there with Judd and Kerr.
I AM concerned that Nathan Ablett is our weakest link (at the moment).
I DON'T believe King is better than Blake.
I KNOW Steve Johnson is a freak.
I AM Scared that Geelong will be knocked out in the Prelim.
I AM suprised my the amount of hatred shown against the Cats in 07 by opposition supporters.
I AM Tired of hearing "Keep a lid on it" then being blamed for not enjoying it.
I AM tired of when we do enjoy it, we're all of a sudden got big heads.
I AM Tired of hearing about our finals record and opposition supporters grabbing at straws, willing us to fail.
I DO Believe that Geelong is a great club with great supporters.
I DO Believe 15 wins in a row means nothing.
I DO Believe in a national game. Loved the Sydney West Coast Rivalry, Loved the Lions 3 years, Loved Essendons Dominance in 2000.
I BELIEVE Brown, Buckly, Hird, Voss, Judd, Ablett snr, Koutas 1 special season, Archer, Carey and Harvey. Are some of the best I have, and probably will ever see.
I DON'T like Port Adelaide.
IF we do happen to make the Grand Final.
I WANT West Coast at full strength! Because if we can't beat the best at their best, then we don't deserve it...
