The whole of the football world to drunks in bars were laughing at us. Hopefully a Balme will address that club paralysing excuses will not be tolerated.

Also with all of their injuries their VFL side is also in the Grand Final. At one stage they lost to Coburg bc they were almost reduced to a stand alone side.

We need a bloke like him at PRO as he can pull late round picks and rookies from out of the blue.
We jag one first rounder and a late pick on average every two years and we think it's magnificent .

THIS Hardwick bloke must be brilliant. Got rid of near his whole posse of assistants and kept him. He must be a Hall of fame type coach. Maybe let him coach the team on his own like the ol' days of T-shirt Tommy if that's the case.
I don't disagree with the coaching chanmges but how the bloke in charge evades scrutiny continues to astound me. It's a huge assumption that he is going to become good with new people aroujd him.

DH hasn't evaded scrutiny at all. Evaded getting boned but not scrutiny.

I hope the clean out and his new assistants will be the making of him and he scores another contact extension!

Bulldogs comparison is unfair.

They have a better coach and a squad with much, much better depth.

Doggies can lose 4 or 5 nailed on starters and still bring in players who are pretty much AFL standard.

Meanwhile, our best depth players are either shit or they've been delisted, regardless of whether they're any good or not.

John Pierek article in the age on the Bulldogs is a great read on how teams get it right ON FIELD and it changes the whole club for the better.

Whereas Peggy and Brendan have only focused on non core business which means absolutely **** all in a world of football, the Bulldogs made errors off the field, but have got it spot on on field.

The difference.

They have a very good President. Ours is absolute Rubbish.

Go watch year of the dogs- Peter Gordon basically stuffed them financially and smorgon had to step in and save them

The only reason Gordon is doing ok at the moment is because he's retired and can pour time and effort in

Dogs have a great list and good fs but financially they are still a basket case and lose players because of it.

Yep of all the bs he cranked out this year that statement was his best. Any moron could see we were treading water at best re list development while the obvious - GWS and Bulldogs were hurtling past us and Melbourne and StKilda developing nicely. Mind you coach isn't solely to blame (apart from making stupid comments) the list manager is in it it up to his neck as well.

Yeah that's the strange thing , the review was ongoing but the assistants were told they were gone, how they came to the conclusion without the results of the in depth review us mind boggling

Also not fair because they came from top 4 so they had talent they could trade + lucky with father/sons + not rebuilding during the compromised drafts.

Heh heh heh...gotta love the dheads in the media. They are promoting the negative story of us "losing" an assistant coach (as the AFL website is reporting) when only weeks before they (AFL, HS and Age) were all running with various versions of how we had told Lade to look for another job coz we weren't going to guarantee him one. But apparently now, we are "losing" him !

Like it recommended all this happens in one off season and now the tigers need to find 5 assistants? How the **** are they going to interview and go through the selection process to find 5 in 5 minutes relatively speaking and make constructive selections ?
