Hope old mate enjoyed his goal umpiring career, short lived though it was....

I hope people realise this is just a case of human error. The goal umpire thought the ball hadn't crossed the line and was still in play. There is no mechanism for a review in this situation.
Do people want to see the game stopped only for a review to confirm the ball was still in play? Or a review the next time that time off is blown?
I think you’ve given him the benefit of the doubt. Looked more like a bloke who shat himself and didn’t have he guts to stop the game.

I’m sure this happened in another game this round and that was to check for whether it crossed for a behind. It didn’t and they resumed play via a ball upI hope people realise this is just a case of human error. The goal umpire thought the ball hadn't crossed the line and was still in play. Umpiring decisions don’t cost teams the gameUmpiring all game was an absolute disgrace. The 5 metre mark and goal to Swallow was terrible too. Another missed OOTF lead to a Gold Coast goal too.
Very nearly cost Essendon the game.
If we’re going to have video replays and bunkers etc, I want goals to be goals.I hope people realise this is just a case of human error. The goal umpire thought the ball hadn't crossed the line and was still in play. There is no mechanism for a review in this situation.

What happens if an umpire thinks it was over the line, they review it, and it turns out it never crossed the goal line?
When in doubt, it should always be play on.
When in doubt if that ball had crossed the line?? The balls a ******* foot over before its touched.
Clearly old mate is an incompitent, delist.
