Nathan Eagleton.

He has come good over the last 2 years. He will be even better in our colours. Can be used across the wing, up forward or from half back. Would be a nice pickup. I reckon they would go for Notting in a straight swap. Notting is inconsistent and will be no big loss to us IMO. Eagleton is consistent and a goal kicker. Perhaps we can throw in Shattock and they can throw in someone else aswell.

Who here reckons Eagleton will be a nice pickup?

Can go missing. Almost got the flick pass from the dogs 12 months ago but has straightened up. Is going on 26 though. If you're trading a mid twenties premiership player you need to get someone 4/5 years younger i reckon.

I'd probably look for a 20/21 yo onballer with toe. Black and Power are in their mid 20's. Lappin, Voss and Aka are older. Hadley and Ash are future options there, as are Adcock, Pratt and MacDonald but you can't have too many onballers.

Would have loved to have grabbed Daniel Kerr when Des left. He's been blueing with the captain for years.

Geelong, WC and Freo are the obvious places to look for young onballers that are lacking opportunity. They would value someone with finals experience.

Chambers at West Coast, maybe? Tenace or Wozincski at Geelong would be handy? Ashley Browne at Freo?

He is exciting when he's on. But IMHO his defensive skills haven't developed as far as his attacking skills, which kinda limits where you can afford to play him.

With his run and raking kick, I'd love to see him develop into a Leon Cameron-style H.B.Flanker. I reckon often he seems to run out of space just as he gets up a head of steam when he plays on a forward flank.

At HB with his pace he'd be able to stay with the likes of Xav Clarke and Aussie Jones, and his overhead skills could exploit them on the way out (particularly Jones who is poor overhead). Plus he'd have the space in front of him to get on his bike and go.

But it's too risky with him ATM, and it seems to be the Bushy's, McGrath's, Corrie's and J Mac's that Leigh is picking to fill those roles.

Shame really. I think he could 'All Australian' if he could play a bit tighter.

Andrew Browne, handy footballer. Wouldn't cost us too much, and can provide some great footy. Really starting to mature as player this year.

Finally come up with one I agree with. He can play & does attract the ball.

I still think our recruiting has been outstanding & Kinnear Beatson has done an amazing job. Quite funny when I first signed on here I made this statement & was shot down in FLAMES by the majority.

Such examples such as J Wright being culled were thrown in my face. Just wonder if these people still hold these opinions further down the track with so many youngsters coming through?

Yep, with 'MC' Schammer getting most of the spotlight, and with Haselby, Pav, McManus, Grover, Headland, etc in the middle, we might sneak him under the guard.

Actually I'd love to see Ben Cunningham go around for us. Don't know about his ability to get the footy, but how's the Freo 'fro' ??
