I'm using iiNet in Sydney and I can't complain. If you go to the forums at whirlpool.net.au - you will find plenty of people dissatisfied with them, but that's the case with all the different ISPs. Apparently ADSL ain't so great with online gaming because the latency is a lot worse than cable - I wouldn't know or care as I don't play games.
The reliability has been great for me, and the extra download space has been fantastic (I was with bigpond ripoff cable before that). speed is capped to 512k, but that's not so bad. general browsing is no different, and if I need big downloads, I just set them overnight.
