Who's getting edgy about now in anticipation of tonight?

I am Fred!

The side has a new look about it from last year.

Capuano,Hamill,Gale,Callaghan,Powell,and Voss as new faces.

Gehrig and Lawrence waiting for a week or 2.

I am disappointed Koschitske didn`t make the side.

I trust the young faces in Blake,Hayes,Moyle
Beetham and Baker have improved and will play well.

Obviously we will need good performances from our best to win this one and start off on a good note.

I had a knot in my guts all day today.
However it is now 11:30 and all is well, although I spent the last 3 minutes imagining another 1 point loss.
Harvey 3 votes towards his 3rd Brownlow. The man is a freak.

I know the feeling, Hit The Boundary Saints. Like most of our fans, I had my heart in my mouth for the last 10 minutes. The similarities between last years game and tonight was uncanny.

There is nothing like a early season victory and I'm over the moon.

The usual band, Harvey and Burke, were excellent, as was Callaghan who has impressed me from the first game this year. Spider was magnificent. I can't begin to imagine how good this guy will be when the can play 4 quarters of consistent footy. Also great to see Plappy have such a good game too. For someone so maligned by our supporters, he deserves every bit of praise.

Oh what a feeling!!!!!

A great start. To win a thriller.What a game.

Spider,Harves,Burke were great. Some of the younger players such as Beetham and Baker did a great job.

Our weakness was in defence and fortunately we can improve this with the addition of Gehrig and Lawrwnce.

Optus is showing a replay at 11.30.

about the 10 minute mark of the 3rd quarter hunter kicked a goal and we were 23 points down. i started to get that sick sinking feeling in my guts. last years saints would have crashed to a 10 goal loss. in this game they showed character and kept figting and were duly rewarded with a great win.

harvey and burke were superb as usual(brownlow number 3 would see my wallet looking extremely healthy). loewe moving to the ruck in the 3rd quarter stopped the dogs run out of the middle.

spider was unstoppable, imho he holds the fortunes of our club in his hands (god help us). if he maintains this form and keeps his work rate up we will win a lot of games.

callaghan made a great debut. another tough in and at it player is exactly what we need. speaking of tough, baker earnt his pay plus some. for a 19 year old to blanket one of the games best midfielders is a real feather in his cap.

sainter, quite right about plapp he wasn't in my side this week. he proved me wrong and played a great game, his poise and sure hands in the back line was a pleasant surprise, he actually looked a solid player.

hamill looked nervous and after a poor first half he competed and presented himself much better in the second. hope he puts his kicking boots on next game though.

max stood grant the whole game. grant is the dogs match winner and even though he did some great things max never let him get away. barry hall was also solid at full back.

beetham and moyle still look the goods and will keep improving.

the bad news is none.

the good news is we won, we have players to come back and we will get better as a team.

aint life grand.
