Just had a fun afternoon imaging I was a professional, using the internet and backing horses only when I considered I saw value. Only had six bets for two wins, one 10 dollars and one seven and one placing. One was first up (Fragmentation at Morphettville) and wasn't value by the time it jumped.

Found several occassions could have cleaned up by backing four or so horses in a race. But didn't. Still just did one a race when I went but each way.

Has anyone had experience with not so much betting on a horse selected to win but backing horses they consider over the odds.

The only trouble I found was being mentally fatigued by the last at Belmont after taking on all major mainland metro tracks.

If anyone does this, what is the best number of meetings to work on. And which states provide the best value. I suspect Victoria does.

I used to reject this professioanl style logic on the grounds that value doesn't get a horse over the line. Somehow these days I can just grasp that if you back horses at longer odds than what they should be you are beating the books because horses do win at all sorts of odds.

Interests me greatly having always been fond of a dabble.
