Anyone else here play this addictive real time online soccer management game?

EDIT: Just realised this sounds like an advertisement. It's not - it's a genuine question ;)

After seeing this thread i signed up and got a team pretty much right away. I've played 2 games after taking over a team. I renamed it Renegade Enterprises and won my 1st up game 7-3, then won again this past sunday 2-1. however after 8 games the side is 7th in V.192
Pretty enjoyable management game

That's cool!
I've only got $645,000 at the moment, i spent $190,000 on a defender who can hopefully come in and help strengthen the back half. He's out for the next 2 matches with an injury however. Plus i've got another 3 guys who are a week away from returning and i had a guy sent off in our last match. So maybe the delay in the friendly is a good thing :p

I have 600,000 and something to but I added up the value of all my players and it only adds up to 1.2 million. The mosy valuable is worth just 178,000 I think. I want to get a defender sometime as I have a couple of good ones but there is 1 more defender I need coz 1 is crap.

Brought a pretty good midfielder for 50,000.

Pretty good considering he is worth over 100,000.

I hope he can move up forward and cause some damage to.

Can someone tell me how to make Press Annoucements?

To make Press Announcements you have to sign up for Supporter. Supporter is a financial contribution to the runners of the site and you get some interactive features.

As for your midfielder purchase you should be careful. A midfielder should have playmaking and stamina and anything else doesn't really matter (including passing).

Also the values of players are irrlevant. The real value is what they sell for. For 50,000 you should get a passable playmaker under the age of 19 (the value goes down as they get older and can't be trained).

For example I have a striker valued at 560k his market value is 2.3m, on the other hand I have a midfielder valued at 500k whose market price is about 380k.

Thanks for the tips. I dont know a lot about soccer and I just joined hattrick. The 50,000 guy that I got has a stamina: excellent and Playmaking: Passable. He is 25 years old. Not that bad.

Well for those beginners some tips ...

1. Midfield, midfield, midfield. 80% or more of games are decided by who has the best midfield. Very little else counts. So while you are starting play a 3-5-2 formation. That gives you 5 midfielders which is the max.

2. Training. Training is the key. If you play a league game and a friendly game you can train 10 midfielders in a week. Young players (teenagers) improve more quickly than old players. Make sure you have 10 midfielders under the age of 22 or so and train them every week. Your team will improve and you will be able to sell them at a profit.

Buy passable playmakers as 17-18 year olds for $50k. Train them for 16-17 weeks and sell them as excellent playmakers for $600k.

A good midfielder will have stamina and playmaking. A little passing or defending can help but not much.

Those two rules make up about 70% of what you need to know.

How do you change your formation Weaver?

There seems to be some kind of problem with Hattrick at the momen. hopefully its fixed so my friendly is played.

Use the individual orders to move players around. So playing a fullback as an extra inner midfielder, will see you shift to a 3-5-2. The other common one is to play 4-5-1 by instructing one of your strikers to play as an extra inner midfielder.

Either play your wingers as towards middle, or as offensive. Just leaving them normal is a complete waste.

Ok thanks since there was something wrong with my computer I couldn't change the formation to 3-5-2. I will though for the league match on Sunday.

Im currently leading 2-0 against my Brothers team in the 87th Minute. Good start to my career it seems. 1 injury but it says he can finish the match which means he should be able to play on sunday.

It took me 3 days to get into the game and I think there were about 70 people on the waiting list at the time.

Everything happens at 12:00 pm(AEST) Leagues Matches, Friendlies, Updates. Its when People get into the game from the waiting list to.

How many people were there on the waiting list when you joined?

I'm in, took about a day or two.

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not, but is there a league ladder I can look at? I can't seem to find one.

It's pretty cool, but I'm struggling with all of the bits and pieces right now - it's pretty tricky when the whole team is ****house!

Well you can click your team name Richmond FC on the menu then wait a sec and then a page should come up and it will say Series: #1 in V.whatever. You think click the series division your in which is the number.

Or if you have your screen resolution at 1024 X 768 there will be a myteam part at the bottom:

MY TEAM
Essendon BFC
Oceania , V.202

You click on the series division you are in.

If your 800 x 600 then hightlight the menu and drag it right down to the bottom.
