...The over-use of Chris Judd on Club advertising? I received a little Carlton booklet today in the mail and surely enough on the front cover was a big picture of Chris Judd. First page in, Dick Pratt's little writing part which stated "Join Chris Judd and the Carlton Football Club...". Interesting to note the only other pictures of players inside the booklet were a small picture of Setanta which had been faded by the navy blue, a Bryce Gibbs picture and a small picture of Fev, Gibbs and someone who is too faded for me to identify.

I have also recently, like most Carlton supporters have been on the Carlton website. Surely enough, the head banner is a picture of 'our lord and saviour', Chris Judd. Yeah, ok, we do want to market Chris Judd and show him off to the public, but enough is enough!

I don't particularly like the way he's being whored out. You never know how many fickle West Coast supporters who once followed Carlton will come back to the club because Juddy has seen the light. This is a scenario I am really dreading. My cousin is an Eagles nut, and is on the verge of boycotting them to follow Carlton, I almost vomited at the thought that there are probably other people out there who feel the same way as her...

Nothing more than a marketing decision IMO. It may prove successful in reaching the Victorian membership level...??

I have to say I agree with you Eddie. In no way am I upset we got Judd - hell it's the best feeling in the world seeing him in the navy blue!

BUT, yes I think it's a bit much, we have a lot of great talent to promote. Judd will get a lot of members through the door and that's awesome, but maybe share it around a bit. Him and Murph or Gibbsy would have been a great cover for the brochure.
