I've been programming some internet-enabled footy tipping software recently, as well as a Direct-3D internet chess game.

Yeah, I can, but the networking is not done yet.

You can download it here

Use Right-mouse-drag to rotate, and Mousewheel to zoom.
Click on a piece to select it, then click on a square to move.
At the moment move validation is not turned on, also the initial view is not a good position. Networking not added yet

Also, can't guarantee it will work perfectly on all graphics cards. It may have a problem with Radeons, not sure.
