Yep - booked to Adelaide on Thursday for $330 and a $100 tiger flight to Melbourne.

Got to be there for the GF parade.

Accommodation is booked and flights are on hold. It depends what happens with another commitment I have at the time.

Saturday night they said on the radio. Hawthorn will get the Friday night after last years 'stuff up'.

Booked flights and accommodation for wife, child and myself about 8 weeks ago. Got really good prices - $2 500 total for the 6 flights.

My daughter gets married a week later in the states - her original date when she was planning it was the last weekend in September. I told her not make me choose

I just finished booking flights and accommodation leaving Perth the Tuesday before and coming home the Wednesday after was the only real way to get a decent price still.

Virgin worked out cheaper for me after booking fees, seat selection, baggage etc. Plus their times aren't red eyes.

I booked flexi flights back in June with the option to change if we didn't make it but I would not panic. Closer to the Prelim I am sure Virgin, Tiger, Qantas will announce more flights for the freo faithful.

This is what I am banking on. The accommodation was the bit that had to be done early if you want CBD. April may have been a tad optimistic, but it's looking like it could work out for me.

I have flown tiger 5 or 6 times to various states in Aus and never had a problem Never for grand final week though. You probably have more of a chance of a delay than other airlines but I have arrived early on almost half of my flights with them. Luck of the draw I guess. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that most of the time its idiot passengers that cause delays etc.
